About the Role
The position provides high-level executive support to the Director, Business Partner and Budget Management Branch (BPBM) and administrative support to the branch; management of services for office support, correspondence and record keeping, event and travel management, accounts payable and application of administrative policies, procedures and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing Executive Assistant duties, including diary management, inbox management, coordination of meeting papers and day packs, and secretariat support where required
- Leading office and corporate support functions, including travel and event booking, financial processes, facilities management, and record management
- Facilitating incoming requests and associated workflows across a range of departmental systems
- Developing advice and recommendations on relevant business matters in accordance with departmental policy, procedures and protocols
- Building and maintaining productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including managing competing stakeholder needs to achieve desired results in a timely and professional manner
- Role-modelling the department's values, demonstrating a constructive and proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues with the ability to work in both a team environment and with limited supervision.

The department plays an important system steward role by providing support, guidance, oversight and assurance across early childhood and school education systems, as well as directly providing school education and 50 new early learning centres.
