Who you are
You are a people-focused professional with experience in rehabilitation, return to work, wellbeing or injury management. You build trusted relationships, provide practical advice, and confidently manage complex matters with empathy and professionalism.
With strong communication and problem-solving skills, you enjoy working collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes for employees and the organisation. You are proactive, solutions-focused and committed to creating a healthy, safe and supportive workplace.
What you'll do
Drive initiatives that support employee wellbeing, early intervention and sustainable work participation across the University. Working with leaders, HR and Health and Safety teams, you'll use data-driven insights to identify trends, enhance wellbeing programs, oversee support services, and deliver initiatives that foster a healthy, safe and supportive workplace culture.
Provide subject matter expertise in injury management, rehabilitation and return to work, managing complex cases and workers' compensation matters while ensuring employees receive the support they need to recover and return to work successfully. Drive proactive wellbeing and early intervention programs that support employees throughout their work journey, including recovery and return to work.
What will help you succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll bring a combination of qualifications, experience and personal attributes, including:

Relevant qualifications in Human Resources, Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Health and Wellbeing, Claims Management and Workers' Compensation or a related discipline. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Personal Injury Management, Business, Law, Human Resources, or Health Promotion are desirable.

Demonstrated experience in employee wellbeing, workers compensation, rehabilitation and return to work in a tertiary environment or complex organisation.

Demonstrated experience in health, wellbeing, workers compensation law and/or workplace relations.

Demonstrated ability to support and promote employee wellbeing initiatives, early intervention programs and positive health outcomes within a complex organisational environment.

Salary: Total remuneration range $123,556 to $136,624 pa (includes salary range of $104,201 to $115,221 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
