What does the role look like?
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of trade creditor invoices, administration of vendor records and administration of the firm's corporate card program. The role ensures supplier obligations and employee expenditure are managed in accordance with agreed terms, firm policies and accounting standards.
What the role entails?
Process and review supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy, timely payment, correct coding, GST treatment, approvals and supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate vendor records, including banking details, ABNs and payment terms, ensuring data integrity.
Prepare and process weekly and urgent payment runs in accordance with firm policies and delegated authorities.
Administer the corporate credit card program, including applications, cancellations, replacements, limit changes and cardholder records.
Review and reconcile corporate card transactions, ensuring appropriate documentation, coding, approval and financial system recording.
Process employee expense claims, verifying supporting documentation, validity, approvals, coding and compliance with firm policies.
Prepare payment forecasts, complete payment reconciliations and provide financial reporting to support effective cashflow management.
Maintain accurate accounts and records, monitor transactions and provide documentation and support for internal and external audits.
What will you bring?
Relevant experience in an accounting or similar role
Ideally experience with Aderant Expert accounting software, however relevant system exposure to other products will also be highly considered.
Strong overall Microsoft Office suite expertise.
Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in accounts payable, invoice processing, payment reconciliation, and vendor management.
Relevant qualifications or ongoing study in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
