Job Description - Junior Engineer
The occupation supports the design, development, testing, commissioning and maintenance of automated and intelligent systems by applying mechanical, electrical, electronic and software engineering principles. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, the role contributes to engineering projects from concept design through to implementation, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
Daily tasks include:
- Assist in the design and development of mechatronic systems, machinery, automated equipment and engineering solutions.
- Prepare and modify engineering drawings, schematics, technical documentation and specifications using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and related engineering applications.
- Support the programming, configuration and integration of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, robotics and control systems.
- Participate in the testing, commissioning and validation of mechatronic equipment and production systems to ensure compliance with technical and operational requirements.
- Conduct computer modelling, simulations and performance assessments of engineering systems and components.
- Monitor, inspect and assist with the installation, operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment and automated systems.
Requirements:
1) Bachelor degree in Mechatronics Engineering.
2) At least one year of work experience in the occupation, or closely related occupation.
3) Good grasp of engineering principles, problem solving abilities, experience in industry standard software such as AutoCAD, good communication skills and teamwork.
Annual salary: $80k + superannuation (40 proposed hours of work per week)
Pay: $80,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
