Your impact
As a Body Repairer / Panel Beater, you will play an important role in keeping our fleet safe, reliable and looking its best. You will be responsible for repairing, maintaining and refurbishing our buses to ensure they meet operational and presentation standards. We have vacancies at our depots at Port Botany, Randwick and Bondi Junction. Working as part of a skilled maintenance team, you'll contribute directly to the safe operation of public transport services relied upon by millions of customers each year.
What you will do
Construct and repair metal bus bodies using hand and power tools.
Complete accident repairs and fleet refurbishment activities.
Replace bus glass, including windscreens and windows.
Paint new and repaired components, including interior refurbishment work.
Ensure vehicle presentation standards are consistently achieved.
Follow established body repair procedures and maintenance practices.
Record accurate maintenance and repair information.
Support the training and development of apprentices and trade assistants.
Contribute to a safe, efficient and productive workshop environment.
What you bring
Experience & Qualifications
- Current NSW MVTC Body Repairer Trade Certificate (essential).
- Current HR Driver Licence, or a current C Class Licence with the ability to obtain an HR Licence.
- Experience in vehicle body repairs, panel beating and painting.
- Computer literacy and the ability to maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Experience supervising or assisting with the training of apprentices and trade assistants.
- Experience in bus maintenance or public transport operations is highly regarded.

What's in it for you?
- Annual salary $103,464.48 (inclusive of superannuation) + shift allowances and overtime.
- Hourly rate of $46.75ph, including industry allowance.

Hours of work
Following an initial training period on day shift, you will transition to a rotating two-week roster comprising:
- 6:00am to 2:30pm
- 10:30am to 7:00pm (15% shift allowance payable for the entire shift)
- 11:30am to 8:00pm (15% shift allowance payable for the entire shift)
