About the Role
As Operations Supervisor you’ll support the day-to-day transport and logistics operations, working closely with drivers and the wider operational team to help ensure daily activities run smoothly and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone with transport, logistics or aviation experience who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
This position is rostered Tuesday to Saturday, 4:00am - 12:00pm.
Key Responsibilities

Leading and supervising operational staff, monitoring performance, attendance and task completion

Supporting daily transport operations and operational requirements

Undertaking heavy vehicle driving (HR or HC)

Maintaining compliance with HVNL, WHS and company policies and procedures

Conducting fleet inspections, safety audits and operational checks

Liaising with customers, Ops Room and Operational Representatives to maximise service delivery and fleet efficiency

Maintaining the presentation and operational readiness of vehicles and equipment

Responding to incidents, monitoring operational performance and completing shift reporting
What You'll Need
- Current HR or HC Driver's Licence
- Previous leadership, team leader, leading hand or supervisory experience highly regarded
- Minimum 3 years' experience within the heavy vehicle, transport or logistics industry
- Experience within transport, logistics, airfreight or cargo operations
- Understanding of HVNL, Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and WHS requirements
- Strong communication, leadership and conflict resolution skills
- Sound administrative and computer skills
- Ability to remain calm, focused and organised in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
