Experienced Automotive Air Conditioning Technician

West Coast Auto Airconditioning is looking for an experienced Automotive Air Conditioning Technician to join our growing team.
Please note: This position is only open to applicants who are currently living in Australia and have the legal right to work in Australia. Overseas applications will not be considered.
We're looking for someone with strong diagnostic skills and hands-on experience repairing and servicing automotive air conditioning systems. If you take pride in your workmanship and enjoy solving technical problems, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose faults in automotive air conditioning systems.
- Repair and replace compressors, condensers, evaporators, TX valves and other A/C components.
- Recover, evacuate and recharge refrigerant in accordance with Australian regulations.
- Perform leak detection using electronic leak detectors, UV dye and nitrogen pressure testing.
- Carry out system flushing and contamination repairs.
- Diagnose electrical faults relating to A/C systems.
- Complete servicing and preventative maintenance on vehicle climate control systems.
- Maintain accurate job records and documentation.
- Work safely while maintaining a clean and organised workshop.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as an Automotive Air Conditioning Technician.
- Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick) or the ability to obtain one.
- Automotive air conditioning qualifications highly regarded.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Current Australian driver's licence.
- High standard of workmanship and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
