What you'll be doing
Sydney Children’s Hospitals Network (SCHN) is a world leading centre for paediatric organ transplantation with over 500 livers, 300 kidneys, and more recently islets and hearts transplanted.
In addition to these clinical activities, SCHN is leading globally significant research programs in organ transplantation and gene therapy, many collaboratively with other local health districts (LHDs), universities and medical research institutes (MRIs).
The Children’s Centre for Transplantation and Research (CCTR) aims to create a world class multi-disciplinary space that is not only transformational for children requiring organ transplantation, but also for those with conditions amenable to gene therapy.
The Project Manager is a newly created position within the CCTR at the SCHN, to drive establishment and implementation of the CCTR, and ensure a safe, fit for purpose, on time delivery of the initiative, to agreed scope, and within budget .
Primary responsibilities of the role are to:
Provide leadership and project management for the above initiative in relation to redevelopment and research matters.
Provide strategic and operational advice to the lead clinicians and researchers working on the project.
