This is an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Planner to contribute to the future growth and development of the Georges River area. You’ll work across a diverse range of strategic planning projects, including LEPs, DCPs, planning policies and land use strategies, while undertaking research and providing professional planning advice.
Working within a collaborative Strategic Planning team, you’ll have the opportunity to build your experience across a broad range of planning matters, engage with key stakeholders and contribute to projects that have a genuine impact on our local community.
What We Offer
- Permanent, Full time - 70 hours per fortnight
- Salary from $101,204.99 - $117,260.87 per annum plus 12% superannuation
- 9-day fortnight subject to operational requirements

What We are Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning or related field
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and policy development
- Understanding of contemporary land use planning processes and practices
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with the community and other professional bodies involved in the industry
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with other Divisions within Council
- Demonstrated ability to present accurate, clear, concise and timely reports on matters affecting the Directorate’s operations
- Demonstrated experience in a problem-solving approach when dealing with complex planning and development issues
