About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our crucial support team as a Receptionist at John flynn Retitrement Village in Burwood East (Vic). This is a part-time role working Monday and Wednesday 1000-1400 with the opportunity to provide cover for planned and unplanned leave.
Our receptionists work in the heart of our village and bring life, organisation and direction to residents and their visitors. The successful candidate will be the face of the village who always has a smile on their face and goes above and beyond to respond to various requests.
In this role you will:
- Welcome all visitors and provide assistance and direction as necessary
- Provide administration assistance including accounts and office/reception duties
- Ensure a hospitable and helpful service to residents, relatives, visitors and staff
- Answer all phone calls in a courteous and timely manner
Assist residents and visitors with general enquiries

About You

- Strong empathy and patience with elderly residents
- Outstanding communication skills
- A reliable, friendly and professional manner
Previous reception experience in the industry is desired (but not essential for the right candidate)
