Cafe Manager – BAKE’D Merrylands
BAKE’D Merrylands is looking for an experienced and hands-on Cafe Manager to lead our team at our new Merrylands location.
This is a great opportunity for a strong hospitality leader who is passionate about customer service, coffee, team development and running a busy cafe successfully.
About the Role
As Cafe Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the venue, including:
- Leading, training and motivating the FOH team
- Managing daily service and ensuring excellent customer experience
- Preparing and managing staff rosters
- Recruiting, onboarding and developing team members
- Maintaining high coffee and beverage standards
- Managing stock levels, ordering and minimising wastage
- Monitoring labour costs and operational performance
- Ensuring opening and closing procedures are followed
- Maintaining food safety, cleanliness and presentation standards
- Handling customer feedback and resolving issues professionally
- Working closely with the kitchen and senior management team
- Driving sales and building a strong team culture
About You
- Previous experience as a Cafe Manager, Restaurant Manager or similar hospitality management role
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Experience in a busy, high-volume cafe environment
- Good knowledge of specialty coffee and barista operations
- Confident managing rosters, labour and stock
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Organised, reliable and hands-on
- Strong understanding of food safety and workplace procedures
- Available to work weekends and public holidays as required
