Mathews Quality Meats is looking for a reliable and experienced Casual Butcher to join our team at our St Clair store.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated butcher who takes pride in quality workmanship. This is a casual position with the opportunity for regular hours for the right person.
Key responsibilities:
- Cutting, trimming and preparing meat to a high standard
- Preparing displays and maintaining presentation standards
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace safety requirements
- Keeping the work area clean, organised and well maintained
- Working effectively as part of a small team
About You
- Previous butchery experience necessary
- Good knife skills and knowledge of meat preparation
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Friendly and professional with customers
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Food Safety knowledge is an advantage
- Weekend Availability is necessary, you will have the choice of a Saturday or Sunday shift
