Role Overview
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Engineering Superintendent to lead engineering and maintenance functions at Appin Mine. Reporting to senior site leadership, this role is responsible for driving equipment reliability, asset performance, maintenance strategy, and continuous improvement across underground operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering and maintenance teams across site
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximise asset reliability and availability
- Oversee planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance activities
- Manage maintenance budgets, costs, and resource planning
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and engineering functions
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, site standards, and company procedures
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity
- Support capital projects, infrastructure upgrades, and operational initiatives
- Lead investigations into equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Foster a strong safety culture and mentor maintenance leaders and supervisors
