Prahran Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (PMUCC) is seeking General Practitioners for regular or sessional GPs, as well as those interested in expanding their clinical experience in emergency medicine.
PMUCC offers a highly supported clinical environment, backed by The Alfred Hospital and operated by Sandringham Ambulatory Clinical Care (SACC) and is part of the Commonwealth Medicare Urgent Care Network. SACC is a not-for-profit organisation delivering Urgent Care Clinics at Sandringham Hospital, Prahran and Frankston, alongside established health pathways and other general practice services.
PMUCC provides short-term, episodic care for urgent but non-life-threatening conditions, including acute and preventative care, wound management, infection prevention, paediatrics, respiratory illnesses, minor injuries. By managing a high volume of walk-in patients, PMUCC helps people access timely care close to home while reducing pressure on local hospital Emergency Department.
PMUCC and SACC offer both variety and stability, with opportunities to work across Primary Care and Urgent Care Clinics in the Bayside area, supported by experienced nursing and administrative teams committed to high-quality patient care.

Co-located with The Alfred Hospital, offering strong referral pathways and support for complex presentations
Open 7 days per week, operating 8:00am – 10:00pm
Urgent, non-life-threatening presentations (Categories 4–5 only)
Onsite radiology and pathology

Requirements
Permanent Australian residency or a current valid working visa
VR Fellowed GP with AHPRA Registration
Indemnity Insurance
Current National Police Check
