POSITION
Disability Support Worker – Personal Care
ABOUT CORE DISABILITY SUPPORT SERVICES
Core Disability Support Services is a registered NDIS provider supporting people with disability to remain independent, safe and engaged in their homes and communities.
We are seeking reliable, respectful and experienced Disability Support Workers to provide personal care and light domestic assistance to an adult male participant in his home.
ROSTERED HOURS
The successful applicant must be available for the following ongoing shifts:
- Monday: 9:15 am–11:15 am
- Wednesday: 10:15 am–12:15 pm
- Friday: 9:00 am–11:00 am
Total: 6 hours per week
Applicants who can reliably commit to all three shifts are preferred.
KEY DUTIES
- Assist the participant with showering and washing hard-to-reach areas
- Assist with drying after showering
- Apply cream and baby powder as directed
- Respect the participant’s privacy, dignity, choices and independence
- Clean the shower and handrails after use
- Mop and leave the bathroom clean, dry and safe
- Follow the participant’s care plan and established support routines
- Complete accurate progress notes and report any concerns promptly
- Follow infection-control, manual-handling and workplace safety procedures
REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain:
- Experience providing personal care and showering assistance
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or a related qualification
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Clearance
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- Current Western Australian driver’s licence
- Reliable vehicle with current comprehensive motor vehicle insurance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
- Valid Australian working rights
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, reliably and professionally
ABOUT YOU
You will be patient, respectful and dependable. You must be comfortable providing personal care to a male participant and assisting with cleaning the bathroom following each shower. Consistency and punctuality are essential.

- Classification and pay rate will depend on qualifications and experience
- Immediate commencement is available following completion of all compliance checks and participant approval
