Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures using welding techniques MIG.
- Cut, shape, and bend metal using hand tools, flame cutting, and machinery.
- Inspect and test welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with standards.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on existing metal structures and equipment.
- Operate heavy machinery such as grinders, drills, and hydraulic presses.
- Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
Required skills and knowledge:
- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Boilermaker/Welder in industrial, construction, or manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in various welding techniques and metal fabrication.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and procedures.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces or at heights.
- Forklift, EWP, or confined space tickets (desirable).
