Support Worker – Disability Support (NDIS)

About the Role
Obliging Care is seeking reliable, compassionate, and professional Support Workers in Rockhampton to provide person‑centred disability support to NDIS participants. You will assist individuals to live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily living assistance including personal care and household tasks
- Support participants to build independence and achieve their NDIS goals
- Assist with community access, appointments, shopping, and social activities
- Follow participant care plans, behaviour support plans, and risk management strategies
- Maintain accurate shift notes, incident reports, and documentation
- Uphold participant rights, privacy, choice, and control
- Work collaboratively with families, coordinators, and the Obliging Care team
Skills & Qualities
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high‑quality care
- Understanding of NDIS Code of Conduct and participant rights
Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (or equivalent)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
- First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Eligibility to work in Australia
- Experience supporting people with disability (preferred but not essential)
