Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 + Superannuation

About the Role
We are looking for a Telecommunication & Network Planner to assist with the planning, design, documentation and coordination of telecommunications and network infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, field technicians, contractors and clients to ensure telecommunications network designs and project documentation meet technical, safety and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and design telecommunications and network infrastructure.
- Prepare network plans, drawings, layouts and technical documentation.
- Review existing network infrastructure and identify suitable solutions.
- Assist with fibre optic, underground and overhead telecommunications network planning.
- Interpret engineering drawings, site plans and technical specifications.
- Coordinate with construction teams, contractors and relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct site assessments and collect required technical information.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Australian standards and project requirements.
- Maintain accurate project records, drawings and documentation.
- Assist with project scheduling, cost estimates and resource planning.
- Identify potential construction and network issues and assist in developing solutions.
- Liaise with clients, councils, utilities and other relevant authorities when required.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in telecommunications, network planning, civil infrastructure or a related field.
- Understanding of telecommunications network infrastructure and construction practices.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with CAD, GIS or telecommunications planning software will be highly regarded.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Australian telecommunications or infrastructure industry experience is desirable.
Qualifications
A relevant qualification in Telecommunications, Communications Engineering, Network Engineering, Civil Engineering, Drafting or a related discipline will be highly regarded.
Relevant industry experience may also be considered in place of formal qualifications.
