About the role
As Project Officer - Regulatory Services, you'll support the review, development and implementation of initiatives that improve the effectiveness, efficiency and consistency of Regulatory Services operations. Working closely with the Group Manager and stakeholders, you'll lead process improvement activities, develop operational procedures, support system enhancements and help drive continuous improvement across the service.
In this role you will:
- Lead and support business improvement initiatives, including process mapping, workflow redesign and the implementation of operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, templates and operational guidance that support consistent ways of working.
- Support the optimisation and implementation of business systems, including TechnologyOne and other regulatory software platforms, while assisting with testing, reporting and change management activities.
Develop reporting frameworks, dashboards and performance reporting, while coordinating records and supporting documentation for audits, assurance activities and statutory reporting requirements.

About you
You enjoy understanding how things work and finding ways to make them better. You're an organised and adaptable professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and is comfortable taking ownership of projects from beginning to end.
You will bring:
- Experience delivering business improvement, process optimisation or organisational change initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Strong process mapping, workflow review and procedure development skills, including the creation of SOPs, operational guidance and supporting documentation.
- Experience implementing new processes, systems or ways of working, supported by effective stakeholder engagement, training and change management practices.
- Strong analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate information into practical recommendations and improvements.
Experience working within Local Government and/or a regulatory, compliance or enforcement environment will be highly regarded.

Tertiary qualification (minimum Certificate IV) in planning, business improvement, project management or another related discipline.
