- HLT52021 Diploma of Remedial Massage
- SHB50121 Diploma of Beauty Therapy
We are seeking a contracted trainer – assessor for our new Perth Campus, which is expected to launch in October 2026.
Massage and Beauty Education Pty Ltd is a related entity of TRTA Co.Ltd., a therapist training school that has operated in Japan for more than 14 years. This is a unique opportunity to help shape a new international learning environment connecting Australia and Japan, and to develop the next generation of skilled, industry-ready professionals. Bilingual English/Japanese skills are highly valued, but not essential.
Role Purpose
The Trainer & Assessor is responsible for delivering engaging practical and theory-based training, assessing learner competency, supporting student progression, and maintaining high standards of compliance, quality, and industry relevance within our training college.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver units of competency within HLT52021 and/or SHB50121 according to our delivery schedule.
· Conduct assessment, make and record assessment judgements, and maintain assessment evidence in accordance with the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence
· Supervise students in the student clinic, including the supervised clinical practice component of HLT52021 Deliver face-to-face practical and theory training in remedial massage programs, including diploma-level delivery where applicable.
· Conduct fair, valid, reliable, and timely assessment of student competency in accordance with training package and RTO requirements.
· Provide constructive feedback and academic support to help students achieve strong learning outcomes and job-readiness.
· Maintain accurate training, assessment, attendance, and student progress records using our systems and documentation standards.
· Supervise practical classes and, where required, student clinic activities in a safe and professional learning environment.
· Contribute to validation, moderation, continuous improvement, and training resource review activities, according to our procedures.
· Work collaboratively with academic, compliance, and student support teams to deliver a high-quality student experience.
Essential Requirements
· Current TAE40122 or TAE 40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
· Current and relevant qualification in the teaching area, including Diploma of Remedial Massage or higher.
· Minimum 5 years of recent industry experience in remedial massage or closely related clinical practice.
· Demonstrated knowledge of current remedial massage techniques, client care standards, and professional practice expectations.
· Ability to deliver both practical and theory-based vocational training and assessment.
· Strong communication, learner engagement, classroom management, and mentoring capability.
· Sound digital literacy, including confidence using LMS and student management systems.
· Valid Australian work rights.
Highly Desirable
· Previous experience teaching within an RTO, TAFE, or private college environment.
· Experience supervising student clinics or structured workplace practice.
· Experience in blended or online delivery and assessment.
· Current First Aid / CPR certification.
· Understanding of ASQA expectations and Standards for RTOs.

Pay: $50.00 – $100.00 per hour
