About Tindal Health Centre
Tindal Health Centre is located at RAAF Base Tindal, 15km outside Katherine, and 320km south-east of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 550 Defence members, surging at regular Air Force exercise periods throughout the year. The health centre provides general medical, aviation medical, nursing, physiotherapy and mental health services. It also operates a 10-bed inpatient low dependency day ward. Standard operating hours are generally 0730-1600 Monday – Thursday depending on role requirements, half day 7:30 – 13:30 Friday
What you’ll do

Deliver high-quality mental health care to Defence members
-
Conducting fitness-for-duty assessments and pre/post-deployment care.

Undertaking assessments, interventions, formulating treatment and care plans for individuals and group education sessions
- Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment where patient wellness is paramount
What you bring
-
Unrestricted AHPRA general registration as a Psychologist
- Minimum 2 years’ Post Graduate experience within last 5 years in mental health within a Primary Healthcare Setting or Specialist Mental Health Setting

Comprehensive assessment skills and experience in ‘Focussed Psychological Strategies’ and ‘Psychological Therapy’ as per Medicare Schedule
- Current CPR certification (HLTAID009)

Australian Citizenship required for Baseline Security Clearance
