EnglishWise Global is a CRICOS-registered ELICOS provider with six approved campuses across Australia. We are seeking an experienced Academic Manager to lead and oversee the academic quality of our ELICOS operations.
The position is based in Sydney CBD and will provide academic leadership and oversight across our multi-campus operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the academic delivery and quality assurance of ELICOS programs.
Manage, mentor and support ELICOS teachers across our campuses.
Oversee curriculum implementation, assessment, moderation and student academic progression.
Conduct teacher observations and coordinate professional development.
Maintain consistency in teaching and academic standards across all locations.
Monitor student outcomes and implement academic intervention strategies where required.
Oversee academic policies, procedures, records and continuous improvement.
Support internal audits and preparation of academic evidence for regulatory reviews.
Ensure academic operations comply with the ELICOS Standards, ESOS framework, National Code and CRICOS requirements.
Work closely with Campus Managers and senior management on academic operations and planning.
Manage teacher recruitment, induction, timetabling and academic resource requirements.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
A relevant postgraduate qualification in TESOL, Applied Linguistics or a closely related discipline is essential.
The successful candidate should also have:
Strong experience in the Australian ELICOS sector.
Previous experience as an Academic Manager, Director of Studies, Academic Coordinator, Senior Teacher or similar academic leadership position.
Strong knowledge of the ELICOS Standards and CRICOS regulatory environment.
Demonstrated experience managing and developing ELICOS teachers.
Strong knowledge of curriculum, assessment, moderation and academic quality assurance.
Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Experience with ASQA audits, re-registration or regulatory reviews will be highly regarded.
