Position Summary
Westside Meat Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a full-time Production Clerk to support the planning, scheduling and coordination of its meat-processing operations. The successful applicant will maintain production records, assist with production schedules and coordinate the flow of work and materials between production, boning, packaging, cold-storage and dispatch areas.
Key Duties
· Prepare and update daily and weekly production schedules.
· Coordinate production requirements with livestock intake, boning, packaging, cold storage and dispatch.
· Monitor production volumes, workflow and processing progress.
· Maintain accurate production, batch and product-movement records.
· Compare customer orders with available production capacity and inventory.
· Identify and report production delays, shortages and scheduling conflicts.
· Coordinate packaging, labelling and material requirements.
· Communicate production changes to supervisors and relevant departments.
· Prepare production reports and assist with data reconciliation.
· Maintain accurate information in production and inventory systems.
· Assist management with production planning and operational reporting.
· Comply with workplace health and safety, food-safety and company procedures.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should have:
· A relevant AQF Certificate II or III, or an equivalent qualification; or at least one year of relevant experience in production coordination, production administration or manufacturing operations.
· Experience preparing or maintaining production schedules.
· Sound computer skills, including spreadsheets and production or inventory systems.
· Strong organisational and recordkeeping skills.
· Good written and verbal communication skills.
· The ability to work accurately in a fast-paced processing environment.
· Experience in meat processing, food production, manufacturing or another regulated production environment is desirable.
