Coffs Harbour Health Campus
A 12 month post suitable for a Trainee in Gastroenterology, or a General Medical Registrar with an interest in gastroenterology. Position also open to Advanced Trainee’s. The trainee is expected to have a strong interest in the management of gastroenterological conditions. Existing proficiency in the assessment and management of patients with gastroenterological and general medical conditions is essential.
This post would suit a trainee who wishes to extend their diagnostic, endoscopic and management skills through exposure to a diverse gastroenterological patient population in a regional referral setting. The position offers a broad case mix which allows exposure to the full spectrum of gastroenterology and hepatology, including IBD, Hepatology and HCC and interventional and diagnostic endoscopy. There is strong consultant support, with valuable opportunities to build a competitive CV for future roles with clinical exposure, and involvement in pharma sponsored and independent clinical trials and research.

What you'll be doing
To provide efficient, safe health care to patients on the Medical Unit, under the supervision of senior medical practitioners while developing expertise in medical practice, in a complex clinical environment.
An applicant can expect to gain experience in General Medicine with a good case mix of patients. Subspecialty services are also available and offer another avenue to improve a candidate's experience and learning.
