About Our Clinic
Located in the heart of Gawler, close to Gawler Central, our clinic has built a strong reputation for compassionate care and exceptional client service.
We're open:

Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 6:00pm

Saturday: 8:30am - 12:00pm

About the Role
As a Casual Veterinary Nurse, you'll play an important role in supporting both our patients and our veterinarians while helping ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, and treatments

Preparing patients for surgery and assisting in theatre

Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery

Administering medications and treatments

Collecting pathology samples and performing diagnostic testing

Providing nursing care for hospitalised patients
-
Maintaining accurate patient records
-
Educating and supporting clients with their pets' healthcare needs
-
Assisting with reception and client enquiries when required

Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control
This role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to utilise your nursing skills across all aspects of a busy general practice.
About You
We're looking for someone who:

Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)

Has previous clinical veterinary nursing experience

Demonstrates excellent animal handling and patient care skills

Is confident supporting both medical and surgical cases

Has strong communication and customer service skills

Works well independently and as part of a team

Is reliable, compassionate, and organised

Enjoys building strong relationships with clients and colleagues

Brings a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed
