Sustainability Manager
Your new team As part of the Group Finance Division, you will join a small and passionate team dedicated to leading and executing the Group's ESG and Sustainability function. This team drives Auto & General's sustainability vision, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory obligations. You'll contribute to an award-winning Workplace Giving program, taking on a role with real impact and high visibility across the business. The role As the Sustainability Manager, you will lead and execute the Group's ESG and Sustainability function. You will be responsible for the ESG strategy, targets, and reporting, engaging at Board and Executive Team levels to ensure sustainability leadership and alignment with the overarching business strategy and direction.

Develop and continuously improve the Group's ESG strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk appetite, regulatory obligations, and industry best practice.

Lead annual sustainability and climate-related reporting and disclosure, including engagement with Board, Executive, and external auditors.

Drive ESG governance across the Group, keeping the Board and Senior Leadership informed of current and emerging regulatory requirements.

Build ESG capability and a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.

Lead and develop the sustainability team into a high-performing, expert function.

Monitor emerging trends in regulation, customer, partner, and employee expectations.

Represent A&G at ICA and industry forums, advocating the Group's ESG position and feeding insights back into the ESG programme.
What experience you'll bring

Credibility across environment & sustainability with qualifications in environmental science, environmental management, sustainability or related discipline.

Strong understanding of sustainability reporting frameworks.

Exposure to carbon accounting and emissions reporting.

Experience in defining strategies, managing risks and impacts and providing strong insight into the field of Corporate Responsibility.

Proven experience of delivering positive outcomes across a range of areas, involving a diverse range of stakeholders.

Ability to provide reporting and insight both written and verbal to Boards and Senior Executive Teams.

High attention to detail with strong reporting and analytical capability.
