- Oversee the preparation of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports and forecasts of future financial performance.
- Analyse the financial position and performance of business operations and provide financial advice and recommendations to management.
- Prepare and manage annual budgets, financial forecasts and long-term financial plans to support business objectives.
- Monitor expenditure, financial performance and budget variances and implement appropriate financial controls where required.
- Coordinate the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of accounting and financial management systems.
- Assess capital expenditure proposals, funding requirements and the financial viability of operational projects.
- Provide management with financial information and analysis regarding business performance, financial position and future funding needs.
- Review and improve accounting processes, financial controls and reporting procedures across the business.
- Advise management on sources of finance, investment strategies and the effective allocation of financial resources.
- Develop, implement and periodically review accounting and financial strategies, policies and plans in consultation with management.
- Prepare long-range profit forecasts and financial projections to assist with strategic and operational planning.
- Ensure financial activities, accounting practices and reporting comply with applicable legislation, accounting standards and internal policies.
- Liaise with senior management, auditors, accountants and other relevant stakeholders regarding budgeting, financial reporting and other financial matters.
Relevant Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree (Preferred)
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Work authorisation in Australia (Preferred)
