Exciting opportunity for a Site Engineer to join our high-performing team. In this role, you will be responsible for the management of the site and all the phases of the construction of a project from commencement through to completion.
The Role:

Participate in regular (at least monthly) site safety and environmental inspections on-site.

Develop good client relationships and proactively manage client expectations.

Implement and invite all project stakeholders to Belmadar’s document control system; Procore, within the first two (2) weeks of project commencement.

Manage subcontractor tender pre-letting.
-
Prepare & collate the scope of works.
-
Prepare subcontractor comparison spreadsheets.
-
Prepare and draft head contract and subcontract notices and claims.

Provide solutions and manage the RFI process.
-
Establish and maintain a site filing system.
-
Maintain a drawing register.
-
Minute subcontractor and client meetings.
-
Assist the site team with scheduling and tasking.
-
Assist the PM with updating and status of the construction program.
-
Maintain the key commercial information such as Extensions of Time (EOT) register, Variation register and Subcontractor invoicing and claims.

Prepare and draft subcontracts for senior management review in accordance with Belmadar’s limits of authority.

Ensure all tender documents issued to subcontractors are based on “for construction” documentation and that the subcontract issued reflects this.

Tracking of construction program progress on site.

Undertake monthly financial forecasting using Belmadar financial forecast costing system – Viewpoint Construction Software (Jobpac Connect).

Manage the budget and keep project staff aware of the project's financial position.

Manage the variations process by collating information and formulating pricing for the PM’s final review.

Manage head contract and subcontract progress claims.

Monitor procurement schedule against the construction program to ensure subcontractors and materials are on site when required.

Prepare EOT and delay claims in accordance with the main contract conditions for review by the PM.

Prepare project completion documentation for the issue of an occupation certificate and practical completion.

Prepare subcontract deed of release for review by the PM.

Undertake project reviews at project completion.
Skills and Experience Required:

Minimum two (2) years of construction experience

Sound Design coordination skills and ability to be able to effectively communicate Design Issues with Stakeholders

Extensive experience in managing complex projects, ideally within a similar building environment

Proficiency in maintaining key client relationships

Advanced ability to plan, manage and deliver projects

Solid subcontractor management and coordination skills
-
Proven track record in the implementation and monitoring of WHS, Environmental and Quality Assurance requirements

Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrated site management skills, effective negotiation skills and decision-making abilities

Must be proficient in PC applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel and Project, as well as e-mail and Internet searches

Ability to formulate a programme and monitor it throughout a project
