About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Return to Work Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. In this highly visible role, you will be responsible for coordinating workplace injury management and return-to-work programs across the business, ensuring injured employees receive the support they need to achieve safe, sustainable, and timely return-to-work outcomes. You will partner closely with employees, managers, healthcare providers, rehabilitation specialists, and insurers while ensuring compliance with workers' compensation and workplace health and safety legislation.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Coordinate and manage workplace and non-work-related injury cases from notification through to closure.
Develop, implement and monitor tailored return-to-work plans in consultation with employees, leaders, healthcare providers and insurers.
Support injured employees throughout their recovery journey through regular communication and guidance.
Identify suitable duties and workplace modifications that facilitate safe rehabilitation and return-to-work outcomes.
Ensure compliance with workers' compensation, workplace health and safety, privacy legislation and organisational policies.
Maintain accurate and confidential case records and documentation.
Prepare reports, analyse injury management trends and provide recommendations to support continuous improvement.
Contribute to injury prevention, wellbeing initiatives and return-to-work education programs across the business.
About You
You are a highly organised and proactive injury management professional who is passionate about supporting employees through recovery while balancing operational outcomes. You have strong stakeholder management skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to navigate complex cases with professionalism, empathy and confidence.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Minimum 3 years of experience in Return-to-Work Coordination, injury management, workplace rehabilitation or workers' compensation.
Strong understanding of workers' compensation and workplace health and safety legislation.
Experience managing multiple injury cases and coordinating stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes.
Strong attention to detail with excellent case management and record-keeping capabilities.
The ability to influence, coach and support managers in best-practice injury management.
Strong analytical and reporting skills with the ability to identify trends and recommend improvements.
A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Occupational Health & Safety, Rehabilitation or a related discipline.
Return-to-Work Coordinator certification and experience within manufacturing, warehouse or industrial environments will be highly regarded.
