Able Aged Care Australia is a boutique provider of comprehensive community services for aged care Home Care Package (HCP) recipients across Sydney. Built on compassion, respect and family values, we exist to help older Australians stay independent, well and living safely at home.
We're growing our team of experienced, reliable support workers — people who turn up, notice the small things, and treat clients like family.

What You'll Do
Personal care Assist with activities of daily living — showering, dressing, grooming, oral care, toileting and continence support — always in a way that protects a client's dignity and independence.
Mobility and transfers Support safe movement around the home, including the use of mobility aids, transfer equipment and hoists where you are trained and competent to do so.
Medication prompting Prompt and assist clients with self-administration of pre-packed medication in line with their care plan (no administration of medication is required in this role).
Domestic assistance Light cleaning, laundry, linen changes, shopping and meal preparation that meets dietary needs and preferences.
Social support and transport Accompany clients to appointments, shops and community activities, and provide companionship that keeps people connected.
Observation and reporting Follow the client's care plan, complete clear and timely progress notes, and escalate any changes in condition, skin integrity, mood, appetite or home safety to our coordination team.
What We're Looking For
- Genuine warmth, patience and respect for older people.
- Reliability — clients and families plan their week around you.
- Strong communication skills and sound judgement about when to escalate.
- Ability to work independently in a client's home and as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside nurses and allied health professionals.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
Highly regarded
- Experience with dementia, palliative care or complex manual handling.
- Proficiency in a second language — including but not limited to Mandarin, Cantonese, Arabic, Italian, Spanish, Greek, Hindi and Vietnamese.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent — Certificate IV highly regarded
- First Aid and CPR certification (current)
- National Police Clearance
- Current driver's licence, comprehensive vehicle insurance and a reliable, roadworthy car
- ABN and independent contractor work rights
- Professional indemnity and public liability insurance of $10M each
- COVID-19 vaccination certificate
