About the role
As Manager, you will be responsible for the overall operation and performance of the play centre. You will lead and develop the team, maintain excellent customer service and safety standards, manage daily operations and help drive the centre's growth, sales and profitability. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys being involved in the action, making decisions and creating a positive and fun environment for both customers and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the overall day-to-day operation of the children's indoor play centre
- Lead, manage, motivate and develop the centre team
- Recruit, train, roster and performance-manage staff
- Create a fun, positive and high-performing team culture
- Ensure exceptional customer service and memorable family experiences
- Oversee birthday parties, events, group bookings and special activities
- Monitor daily sales, costs, staffing and operational performance
- Develop strategies to increase sales, customer numbers and repeat visits
- Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness, presentation, safety and hygiene
- Ensure all relevant workplace health and safety requirements are followed
About you
- An experienced and confident manager and team leader
- Energetic, positive and passionate about customer service
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
- Commercially minded with an understanding of sales and profitability
- Excellent at communicating with customers and staff
- Confident handling challenging situations and solving problems
- Proactive, reliable and willing to take ownership
- Comfortable working in a busy, high-energy environment
- Passionate about creating great experiences for children and families
- Available to work weekends, school holidays and evenings (exclusive hire) when required
