We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and confident Room Leader to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Room Leader looking for a new environment, or an exceptional Educator ready to step into their first leadership role and begin their journey towards becoming an Assistant Manager and Centre Manager.
About the Role
As a Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day leadership of your room, while working closely with the Centre Manager and Educational Leader to ensure high-quality education, care and outcomes for children.
You will be responsible for:
- Leading, supporting and mentoring educators within your room
- Developing and implementing a high-quality educational program
- Completing observations, planning, documentation, learning outcomes and summative assessments
- Demonstrating strong knowledge of the EYLF, NQS and National Quality Framework
- Supporting children's individual learning, development and wellbeing
- Building positive relationships with children, families and educators
- Maintaining high standards of supervision, safety, compliance and child protection
- Contributing to the service QIP and continuous improvement
- Creating an engaging, inclusive and stimulating learning environment
- Working collaboratively with the Educational Leader and Centre Manager
- Taking ownership of the quality and organisation of your room
About You
We are looking for someone who is energetic, organised, confident and genuinely passionate about early childhood education.
You will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ recent full-time experience as an Early Childhood Educator
- Current or previous experience as a Room Leader, OR demonstrated readiness to step into your first leadership position
- Strong knowledge and practical experience with programming, observations, documentation, learning outcomes and summative assessments
- Strong understanding of the EYLF, NQS and NQF
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to lead, motivate and support other educators
- A genuine commitment to children's safety, wellbeing, learning and development
- Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or ACECQA-approved equivalent preferred/required for the Room Leader position, as applicable
- Current WWCC and required First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications
- Required child protection and child safety training
- Full-time availability across five days and flexibility to work a range of shifts
