Total Security Services is a growing Wollongong-based electrical and security company servicing the Illawarra, South Coast and Sydney.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Technician / Team Leader to join our close-knit team. This is a hands-on role suited to a capable technician who can lead and support others while continuing to work across installations, servicing and commissioning.
You will work across commercial, industrial and major infrastructure projects, helping coordinate technicians and ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service, test and commission access control, CCTV, intercom and alarm systems
- Coordinate daily site activities and allocate work to technicians
- Supervise, guide and support technicians and apprentices
- Monitor workmanship, safety, quality and project progress
- Complete cabling, terminations, fault-finding and repairs
- Liaise with clients, project managers, supervisors and other trades
- Ensure service reports, testing records and project documentation are completed accurately
- Assist with resolving technical and site-related issues
About You
- Experienced in electronic security systems and associated cabling
- Confident leading a team while remaining actively involved in installation work
- Strong in fault-finding, testing and commissioning
- Able to organise work, manage priorities and keep projects moving
- Reliable, professional and committed to safety and quality
- A clear communicator who can support and develop other technicians
- Comfortable working independently and taking responsibility on site
Essential Requirements
- Relevant security or electrical industry experience
- Demonstrated ability to lead or supervise others
- Current Australian driver licence
- Construction White Card
- Australian working rights
- Current NSW Security Licence, or willingness and eligibility to obtain one upon employment
