CheapGeek is seeking a highly skilled phone and laptop repair specialist to lead the day-to-day operation of our repair store.
This is a full-time salaried role with profit share. For the right person, there is a significant opportunity to increase earnings by improving the store's efficiency, customer service, and profitability.
The role combines advanced technical repairs, customer service, workshop supervision, and practical input into how the business operates.
Key Responsibilities
· Diagnose and repair laptops, desktop computers, mobile phones, and tablets, including complex hardware, software, and motherboard-level faults
· Replace and test components such as batteries, screens, keyboards, and charging ports
· Complete Windows installations, upgrades, data transfers, and system recovery
· Assess jobs, provide accurate quotes, and keep customers informed
· Communicate with parts wholesalers and order suitable parts
· Manage repair jobs, stock, workflow, and quality control
· Supervise and support other team members as required
Process and Business Improvement
· Follow established procedures and ensure they are applied consistently
· Identify practical ways to improve turnaround times, customer service, and workflow
· Work with management to reduce inefficiencies and improve profitability
· Help implement and maintain agreed process improvements
Required Skills and Experience
· Extensive experience repairing laptops, computers, mobile phones, and tablets
· Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills
· Motherboard, component-level, and microsoldering repair experience
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
· Confident customer communication and quoting skills
· Ability to organise workloads, take ownership, and work independently
· Willingness to supervise staff and contribute to business improvement
Position Details
· Permanent full-time position
· 7:30am to 6:00pm, five days per week
· Full-time salary plus percentage-based profit share
· Senior role with genuine input into store operations

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
