Garden Maintenance Technician – Brisbane Northside
Yardspace runs garden maintenance across Brisbane’s northside, including Wavell Heights, Chermside, Aspley, Sandgate and Brighton.
We look after homes, body corporates and a caravan park on a set run, to a set standard, every visit. We need one more experienced technician to join that run from early September.
The job
You’ll complete two to four garden maintenance jobs a day alongside another crew member. Every job has a time allowance the client has already paid for. Your job is to hit it, not beat it.
Your work will include:
- Mowing and edging
- Hedging and pruning
- Maintaining garden beds
- Weed control
- Green waste removal
- General garden and grounds maintenance
- Reporting site issues to the office
The working day starts at our depot at 6:30 am. Every job is clocked through our phone app from day one, so you’ll need to be comfortable using a phone to track time and job progress.
What we’re looking for
You’ll need at least one year of hands-on garden maintenance experience. Landscaping, greenskeeping or greenkeeping experience is also favourable, particularly if you’re confident using commercial outdoor power equipment.
You’ll need:
- At least one year’s experience in garden maintenance
- Landscaping experience is favourable
- Greenskeeping or greenkeeping experience is favourable
- Experience using commercial mowing, edging and hedging equipment
- A current manual driver’s licence
- Your own reliable transport to the depot
- A current White Card
- Chemical accreditation is favourable but not essential
- The ability to work outdoors and complete physical tasks
- Good communication and attention to detail
- The reliability to turn up and finish the job list
- The awareness to report site issues to the office

This is a casual position to start, paid weekly, with a review after three months and a genuine pathway to full-time employment. We’d rather be clear about that than dress it up.
