We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable CNC Machine Operator/CNC Machinist to join the production team at Foam Technologies.
This is a hands-on manufacturing role operating CNC machinery used to produce customised foam products to customer specifications.
The position is initially offered on a casual basis with an immediate start available, with the opportunity to progress into a full-time position for the right person.
Previous experience working specifically with foam is not essential. We are more interested in candidates with CNC experience, mechanical aptitude and the ability to work accurately from drawings and production instructions.ResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:
- Operating CNC cutting and manufacturing equipment;
- Setting up machinery for production jobs;
- Reading drawings, measurements and production specifications;
- Loading and checking CNC programs and machine settings;
- Producing customised components accurately and efficiently;
- Checking completed products against drawings and specifications;
- Identifying and resolving basic machine or production issues;
- Undertaking routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance;
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop environment;
- Assisting with general production activities when required; and
- Working with the production team to meet customer deadlines.About YouWe are looking for someone who is practical, reliable and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous CNC machine operating or machining experience;
- Good mechanical aptitude;
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and measurements;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Good problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team;
- A reliable approach to attendance and work;
- Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Experience with CAD/CAM, CNC programming, multi-axis machinery, plastics, timber, composites or similar manufacturing environments would be highly regarded.
