Lithgow City Council has an exciting opportunity for a Labourer - Urban to join their team in Lithgow, NSW.
Reporting to the Works Coordinator - Urban you will be responsible for performing general duties relevant to Council's operations according to work instructions and any other duties requested by the Works Coordinator.
More specifically, your duties will include (but will not be limited to):
- Set out site, repair and lay pipes
- Maintain and operate plant and equipment
- Set up and construct concrete structure, such as footpaths, drives, retaining walls
- Setup traffic procedures (as per relevant Traffic Control Plan for specified work project), maintain traffic flow and report traffic problems
- Setup to perform roadworks
- Construct and maintain roads
The successful candidate will meet the following criteria:
- Class C Drivers Licence
- WH&S Induction for Construction Work (Whitecard)
- Previous labouring experience
- Traffic Control Ticket (Stop/Slow)
- Traffic Control Ticket (Apply Traffic Control Plans)
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of Work Health and Safety
- Demonstrated commitment to honesty and integrity
In addition, an ideal candidate would have:
- Trades assistant experience
- Previous plant operation experience
- First Aid Certificate
- Previous experience with concrete set out
