About the Role
The Marketing Executive is responsible for the day-to-day execution of SABA's marketing and communications activity, bringing the brand's strategy to life across retail, ecommerce, CRM, social and content channels.
The role works closely with an external Marketing Consultant, who provides strategic direction, campaign planning input and brand guidance. The Marketing Executive directly coordinates and manages the output of an offshore Graphic Designer and an offshore Marketing Coordinator / Social Media Coordinator, ensuring all creative and content deliverables are briefed clearly, produced on time, on brand and to a high standard.
This is a hands-on, execution-focused role suited to someone who is highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable coordinating a small, distributed team to deliver consistent, high-quality marketing output that supports SABA's position as an accessible luxury Australian fashion brand.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing & Communications Strategy
- Own and maintain the day-to-day marketing calendar, ensuring campaigns, content and activity are scheduled and delivered on time.
- Work with the Marketing Consultant to translate agreed strategy and campaign briefs into executable plans and task lists.
- Coordinate cross-functional input from Product, Ecommerce and Retail teams to keep the calendar aligned to commercial priorities.
- Track budgets, invoices and supplier costs, and report on activity against agreed timelines and KPIs.
Offshore Team Coordination
- Brief and manage the offshore Graphic Designer on all creative asset requirements, providing clear direction, brand guidelines and feedback.
- Brief and manage the offshore Marketing Coordinator / Social Media Coordinator on content scheduling, community management and campaign support tasks.
- Set priorities, deadlines and quality standards for the offshore team, and quality-check all deliverables before they go live.
- Act as the main point of contact between the offshore team and internal/local stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication across time zones.
- Maintain clear documentation, templates and processes so offshore team members can work efficiently and consistently.
Customer First | Community & Omni-Channel
- Develop a deep understanding of the SABA customer and champion a customer-first mindset across all marketing activity.
- Support the growth and engagement of SABA Rewards through customer acquisition, retention and loyalty initiatives.
- Lead customer events, partnerships, referral programs and community-building initiatives.
- Develop brand ambassador and advocacy programs that strengthen customer connection and engagement.
- Partner with Retail and Ecommerce teams to deliver a seamless omni-channel customer experience.
- Create customer experiences that build long-term loyalty and increase customer lifetime value.
Product & Content That Converts | Elevate the Brand
- Coordinate the production of seasonal content across campaign, styling, editorial, social, ecommerce and community channels.
- Brief the offshore Graphic Designer on product storytelling assets that showcase versatility across work, weekend, travel and occasion dressing.
- Support customer-generated and community content initiatives to build authenticity and engagement.
- Liaise with Product and Ecommerce teams to ensure content reflects category priorities and key product stories.
- Help identify and test new content formats, channels and storytelling approaches.
Retail Marketing | Profitable Stores
- Partner with Retail to drive customer traffic, engagement and profitable full-price sales.
- Deliver local marketing initiatives, client events and activations that support store performance.
- Support clienteling programs through customer-focused marketing initiatives.
- Develop marketing plans for new store openings, refurbishments and key retail moments.
- Collaborate with David Jones and strategic partners to maximise customer reach and awareness.
- Measure and report on the effectiveness of retail marketing initiatives and events.
Social Media, PR & Brand
- Develop and execute social media strategies that drive awareness, engagement and growth.
- Manage influencer, ambassador and talent partnerships.
- Work closely with PR agencies and media partners to maximise brand visibility.
- Ensure consistency of brand identity, tone of voice and visual standards across all customer touchpoints.
- Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities to strengthen brand relevance.
Creative Production & Agency Management
- Coordinate agencies, freelancers and external suppliers to support seasonal content and creative production.
- Support the planning and on-the-ground coordination of ecommerce shoots and content production.
- Ensure all creative outputs from internal and offshore contributors meet brand and commercial standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve marketing processes and workflows, particularly across the offshore working model.
Requirements
- Successful translation of customer insights, consumer research, sales, and market data into clear action plans
- Strong understanding of communications development, campaign management & implementation and production processes
- Knowledge of emerging technologies and AI tools, and their application across marketing, content creation, customer engagement and business productivity.
- Experience managing agencies, suppliers and external partners.
- Budget and supplier management.
- Fashion or retail industry experience essential.
- Experience delivering customer-focused marketing initiatives, events, partnerships and content programs.
- Strong organisation, project management and prioritisation skills.
- Ability to think strategically while remaining hands-on in execution.
- High attention to detail and ability to solve problems using initiative.
