About the role
We're looking for a highly organised and people-focused leader to join our Commercial Inventory team as a Commercial Inventory Team Leader – Scheduling on a 12-Month Contract.
In this role, you'll lead a team responsible for the preparation, management and reconciliation of commercial broadcast schedules across Seven's television channels. You'll play a critical role in ensuring advertising campaigns are delivered accurately, operational processes run smoothly, and revenue opportunities are maximised.
Working closely with both local and offshore teams, you'll provide leadership, coaching and day-to-day operational guidance while driving high standards of quality, compliance and customer service.
As the Commercial Inventory Team Leader, you will:
- Lead and support the Scheduling team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing and positive team culture.
- Oversee the preparation, amendment and reconciliation of commercial schedules to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately, on time and in line with client requirements.
- Monitor scheduling outputs, conduct quality assurance audits and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Provide operational support across scheduling, spot management and inventory processes as required.
- Act as a key escalation point for scheduling queries, program changes, sales requests and technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, advertising regulations and broadcast requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Broadcast Operations, Sales, Inventory Management and offshore Managed Services teams.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members through ongoing feedback, training and support.
What will you need
- Previous experience in television scheduling, broadcast operations, inventory management or a similar media operations environment.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring and developing team members.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of television broadcast operations and scheduling systems, including Seven proprietary platforms such as Landmark Sales (highly regarded).
