This is a great opportunity for an experienced lift industry professional who wants to transition away from hands-on installation work while remaining closely connected to the field and making a lasting impact on people and performance.
We are looking for a Lift Field Trainer (Installation and Modernisation) to join our operations team and play a key role in developing the technical capability, safety awareness, and installation excellence of our field workforce. This person will be based in Brisbane, QLD – where we are building our new state of the art Training Centre.
What will you be doing?
Deliver engaging technical training and practical coaching to field operatives within our new training centre and on-site.
Support the development of installers and apprentices through hands-on coaching, mentoring, and competency-based learning.
Build and maintain strong relationships with KONE trainers globally to share best practices, training innovations, and emerging industry trends.
Analyse performance and competency data to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training and corrective action plans.
Support and actively participate in new employee inductions, site inspections, quality reviews, and operational audits.
Adapt global training programmes, materials, and work instructions to meet local regulatory, safety, and operational requirements.
Support competency development initiatives, including assessments, surveys, skills verification, and capability reviews.
Partner with operational leaders to drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, and technical excellence.
Participate in incident and serious near-miss investigations in collaboration with the Safety Manager, identifying learning opportunities and recommending preventative measures.
Promote a strong culture of safety, compliance, accountability, and continuous learning across the field workforce.
What are we looking for?
Experience working within the lift industry is essential.
Escalator experience is highly desired
Current Electrical Licence.
Demonstrated commitment to safety, with the confidence to identify, challenge, and report safety breaches, hazards, and non-conformances.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to deliver engaging training both face-to-face and virtually.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, build credibility, and develop strong working relationships across all levels of the business.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Sound computer skills.
A genuine passion for learning, coaching, and developing others.
