We are seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor (Maintenance) to join our team at our South Walker Creek project. On a dayshift only, 8/6 roster, the successful candidate will be required to provide maintenance training, assessments and support across the project.

Role Details:
Reporting to the relevant SHET Superintendent, the Trainer & Assessor will support the delivery, coordination and monitoring of training and assessment activities across the Maintenance team.
You will play a key role in onboarding new employees, maintaining training plans and providing ongoing coaching, mentoring and assessment to ensure our maintenance personnel are competent, confident and equipped to perform their roles safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide maintenance training, assessments, and support across the project;
- Deliver competency-based training and conduct assessments individually and in groups;
- Monitor site competency requirements;
- Liaise with Managers to develop and maintain training plans for their teams;
- Coordinate the implementation and ongoing maintenance of training for all employees;
- Ensure all training records are appropriately maintained;
- Assist with the development of Training Systems;
- Conduct timely Training Needs Analyses to assess safety training gaps.
Qualifications & Skillsets:
- Fitter / Mechanical background is essential;
- Hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or as a minimum hold Front line TA units of competency and be willing to obtain Cert IV;
- Must hold maintenance specific competencies (EWP, Working at Heights, rigging /dogging, permits / telehandler, forklift;
- Experience delivering operational, technical and safety training in a mining environment;
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to maintain accurate training records and plans;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- A proactive approach to identifying training needs and opportunities for improvement;
- Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications.
