Existing shifts available at our Rouse Hill and Castle Hill Music schools for a woodwind teacher.

Due to the departure of one of our teachers and Music Schools' continued growth, we are looking for more teachers. We currently have over 1,300 students attending lessons across our two schools every week and we are being contacted by new students every day.
We urgently require a saxophone/clarinet teacher/s who can work at our Castle Hill and Rouse Hill Schools. Preference will be given to candidates who can play both instruments, however applications welcomed from teachers who only play clarinet or saxophone. Existing shifts Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
This is a great job for young musicians looking for part-time work to go alongside university studies or experienced musicians looking for work to supplement gigging income. Mentoring is provided for musicians who have not taught before.
What will you be doing?
- Delivering high quality, individual music lessons to our students.
- Working with students to develop their technique, musicality, performance skills and confidence.
- Working with some of our students to prepare for AMEB and Rockschool examinations.
- Inspiring and enthusing students with a lifelong love of music.
Essential
- For piano, violin, brass and woodwind we require minimum Grade 8 AMEB (or equivalent examining body), CMUS or AMUS welcomed.
- Strong ability to teach and engage students in a positive, fun-loving manner
- Clear and confident communicator
- Enjoy working with music students of all ages, backgrounds and ability
- Ability to commute / travel to Castle Hill and/or Rouse Hill
- Attention to detail
- Available for work between 3pm-8pm weeknights with potential for some weekend working to work within our school of music.
- Clear understanding of Duty of Care
- Must possess or be able to apply for a valid Working with Children Check

Teachers must be able to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week during school terms. Shifts can be based around your availability, however they must be the same shifts each week.
School teaching hours: Monday - Thursday 3-8pm, Friday 3-6pm and Saturday 9am-4pm.
Our Rouse Hill School is located close to the Metro and bus station.
Our Castle Hill School is well supported by local buses, although ability to drive is an advantage. This location is approximately 20mins walk from the nearest Metro station.
This position is not suitable for musicians in Australia on a Working Holiday Visa.
