Transport for NSW is delivering some of the state's most significant road and transport infrastructure projects, helping connect communities and improve the way people move across NSW.
In this role, you'll:
Assist in the preparation and delivery of concept and detailed designs for new and rehabilitation infrastructure projects, considering cost, practicality and site constraints.
Contribute to the development of design, construction and rehabilitation cost proposals, including quantities and cost estimates.
Support the preparation of engineering drawings and technical documentation in collaboration with project teams and technical specialists.
Assist in developing specifications, standards and engineering solutions aligned with Transport for NSW and Australian Standards.
Review outsourced engineering work to ensure compliance with project requirements and relevant standards.
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of transport infrastructure projects
Support the implementation of TfNSW’s procedures, guidelines, processes and practices to maintain a high level of WH&S, Industrial Relations, environmental management and quality on projects/contracts
Contribute to managing project risks, resolving technical issues and achieving quality project outcomes.
Contribute to the oversight of nominated projects by providing project management assistance for specific projects to enable projects to be completed on time and within scope objectives

About you:
Seven opportunities are available, including four permanent positions supporting Garfield Road East, Bandon Road, Richmond Bridge and the Local Road Package (Otago/WR), and three fixed-term positions through to 2030 supporting the M5 Motorway, Horsley Drive and Cambridge Road.
Comfortable working in a 5-day onsite environment, partnering closely with project teams and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes.
A four-year Engineering degree from an Australian University or an equivalent qualification recognised within Australia. (Essential Requirement)
Experience applying engineering principles across civil, road, bridge or infrastructure projects.
Ability to provide technical advice, assess project risks and contribute to sound engineering decision-making.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver quality outcomes.

An interest in developing professional engineering capability and expanding technical expertise.
