Brisbane | Full Time
Burger Urge is continuing to grow, and we're looking for an experienced Leasing Manager to help drive the expansion of our national restaurant network.
In this role, you'll identify, evaluate and secure new restaurant locations across Australia, working closely with landlords, developers, leasing agents and Franchise Partners to bring new Burger Urge venues to life.
If you enjoy building relationships, negotiating commercial outcomes and uncovering opportunities that support business growth, we'd love to hear from you.
At Burger Urge, we're passionate about creating great restaurants and even better experiences. As part of our Development team, you'll play a key role in identifying the locations that support our continued national growth.
You'll enjoy:
-
Genuine ownership of new site acquisition across Australia.
-
The opportunity to build relationships with landlords, developers and major shopping centre owners.
-
A diverse role combining property, commercial negotiation and business development.
-
A collaborative and supportive Support Office environment.
-
Ongoing opportunities to develop your career within a growing national brand.
-
Staff discounts across Burger Urge venues.
Reporting to the Head of Development, you'll be responsible for identifying, evaluating and securing new restaurant opportunities across Australia.
From sourcing prospective sites through to lease execution, you'll work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure every opportunity aligns with Burger Urge's commercial objectives and long-term growth strategy.
You'll analyse new markets, negotiate commercial lease terms, prepare business cases and support Franchise Partners through the site selection process.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Identifying and securing new restaurant opportunities across Australia.
-
Building and maintaining strong relationships with landlords, developers and commercial leasing agents.
-
Negotiating Heads of Agreement and commercial lease terms.
-
Conducting site inspections and assessing new development opportunities.
-
Analysing demographics, trade areas, competitor activity and commercial viability.
-
Preparing Executive Approval Papers and investment recommendations.
-
Presenting approved opportunities to Franchise Partners.
-
Supporting due diligence through to lease execution.
-
Maintaining a strong national property pipeline to support Burger Urge's continued growth.
No two weeks are the same. One week you might be inspecting new developments and meeting with landlords, while the next you're analysing a new market opportunity or negotiating commercial terms for our next flagship location.
You're commercially minded, proactive and enjoy building genuine relationships.
You understand what makes a successful retail location and are confident negotiating outcomes that create value for both the business and our property partners.
You'll ideally have:
-
Two to five years' experience in retail leasing, commercial property, property development or a similar role.
-
Strong commercial negotiation skills.
-
Experience working within retail, shopping centre or commercial property environments.
-
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
-
Strong analytical capability and commercial judgement.
-
The ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously.
-
A current driver's licence and willingness to travel nationally.
Experience within hospitality, retail or franchising will be highly regarded, but we're equally interested in candidates with the right commercial mindset and relationship-building skills.
For more than 19 years, Burger Urge has been serving fresh, quality burgers in a fun and authentic environment. With over 30 venues nationwide and ambitious growth plans, we're committed to finding outstanding locations that help our franchise partners and business succeed.
Our values of Ambition, Passion, Quality, Authenticity, Adventure and Integrity underpin everything we do.
