About the Role
We are looking for a caring, reliable, and compassionate Disability Support Worker to provide high-quality support to a participant located around Arthur Street, Worrigee NSW 2540.
The successful candidate will assist the participant with their day-to-day needs while promoting independence, dignity, choice, and community participation.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing person-centred support based on the participant's individual needs and goals
- Assisting with daily living activities and personal care where required
- Supporting community access, appointments, shopping, and recreational activities
- Providing companionship and encouraging social participation
- Following the participant's support plan and organisational policies
- Completing accurate shift notes and required documentation
- Maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
- Communicating professionally with the participant, family, and support team
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Caring, patient, reliable, and respectful
- Experienced in disability or community support
- Confident working independently
- A good communicator with a positive attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Committed to providing person-centred care
- Flexible with availability, including weekdays and weekends where required
Essential Requirements
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Working with Children Check, if applicable
- First Aid & CPR certification
- Previous disability support experience preferred
- Australian driver's licence and reliable vehicle preferred
- Relevant qualifications such as Certificate III/IV in Individual Support, Disability, or equivalent are highly regarded
