Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work from technical shop drawings
- Fabricate, assemble and repair metal structual componants
- Perfom MIG, TIG and ARC welding to required standards and tolerances
- Measure, cut an shape metal materials using hand tools and fabrication machinery
- Ensure all welding and fabrication meets quality and safety requirements
- Operate and maintain workshop equipment and mchinery safely
- Collaborate with team member to complete projects efficiently and accurately
- Follow workplace health and safety policies and procedures at all times
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate III in engineering - Fabrication Trade (or equivalent qualification)
- At least 1 year of relevant work experince in metal fabrication and welding
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Skille din MIG, TIG and ARC welding across vaious metals (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, etc)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good understanding of workplace safety practices and procedures
