Role Description
When an aircraft is waiting on a critical component, procurement matters.
Sigma Aerospace Workforce is seeking an experienced Procurement and Logistics Officer to support the fast-moving world of aircraft materials, repairs, supply and AOG purchasing.
Based onsite in Nundah, Brisbane, this is a hands-on aviation role suited to someone who understands the technical and operational importance of sourcing the right part, managing repairs and keeping critical materials moving.
You will support fixed-wing and rotary-wing operations across aircraft materials, maintenance supply and logistics activities.
You will:
- Manage AOG purchasing and urgent material requirements
- Source aircraft parts and materials locally and internationally
- Raise purchase orders and maintain material traceability
- Support repairs, overhauls, exchanges and warranty requirements
- Monitor local and international freight movements
- Liaise with suppliers, freight forwarders and customs representatives
- Manage goods receipts, dispatch and material movements
- Monitor stock levels and support inventory requirements
- Build and maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships
- Negotiate with suppliers and support vendor management
- Conduct stock takes and maintain accurate purchasing records

Required Role Experience:
Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply, logistics or materials management. Aviation procurement and AOG purchasing experience will be highly regarded.
Maintenance Qualification / Licence:
A formal aviation maintenance licence is not mandatory. Candidates with an engineering, aircraft maintenance or technical background will be highly regarded.

Australian work rights required.
Location / Availability:
Brisbane based and able to work onsite in Nundah. This is not a remote or work-from-home role. AOG procurement coverage is shared on a rotational weekly basis.
Additional Requirements:
Experience working with local and international suppliers, freight forwarders and customs processes will be highly regarded.
Skills:
Strong purchasing, supplier management, stock control and material traceability skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate clearly and respond quickly to changing operational requirements.
Attitude:
Highly organised, responsive and commercially aware. You should be comfortable working under pressure, solving problems and collaborating with maintenance, stores and operational teams.
