About the Role
Reporting to the Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the preparation and presentation of high-quality cold meal items, ensuring residents receive safe, nutritious and enjoyable meals.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare salads, sandwiches, desserts and cold meal components.
- Assist with meal plating and presentation.
- Ensure food safety, hygiene and infection control standards are maintained.
- Complete food safety documentation and temperature monitoring.
- Monitor stock levels and advise of ordering requirements.
- Work collaboratively with the catering team to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment.
About You
- Previous experience as a Cook, Chef or Cold Larder Cook.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (desirable).
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP principles.
- Experience in aged care or healthcare catering is highly regarded.
- Reliable, organised and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for providing quality meals for older people.
