About the Role
The role involves assessing residents’ needs and ensuring appropriate equipment and therapeutic supports are sourced and accessible. You’ll contribute to personalised care plans, monitor therapy outcomes and ensure the quality and suitability of equipment provided. You’ll maintain an understanding of the Aged Care Quality Standards and relevant funding and reporting requirements, while keeping accurate clinical documentation and collaborating with GPs, allied health professionals and the wider care team.
You’ll also monitor resident progress, communicate and escalate any significant incidents or concerns, respond to feedback and contribute to continuous quality improvement and best practice. Maintaining current professional development and registration requirements is essential, along with working in accordance with BaptistCare’s Code of Conduct, WHS policies and relevant legislation. The role also requires a minimum of 50% billable hours.

- Permanent part-time | 15 hours per fortnight | Two days per week
- Tuesday required for the multidisciplinary team meeting
- Second day flexible to suit your availability

About You
You’re an empathetic, confident clinician who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys supporting older Australians. You bring:
- Current AHPRA registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Strong understanding of contemporary OT practice in aged care
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to relate to older people with dignity, respect and compassion
- Confidence managing a busy workload and shifting priorities
- Ability to lead, guide and support team members
- Proficiency across a wide range of IT applications
Desirable:
- Experience in residential aged care
- Knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, legislation and AN‑ACC
