Your Future Role
At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. Join our C-Series Maintenance Contract team in Nowergup, WA and play a critical role in ensuring our fleet operates safely, reliably, and efficiently every day.
As our Planning Manager, you will coordinate and optimize rolling stock maintenance activities, balancing fleet availability, maintenance requirements, depot capacity, and operational performance. Working closely with internal teams and the fleet operator, you will ensure maintenance plans are delivered safely, on time, and in line with contractual commitments.
We'll look to you for:
- Developing and managing short and long-term maintenance plans, including testing, modifications, and overhauls.
- Coordinating train withdrawals and returns to service with the fleet operator.
- Issuing work packages and managing maintenance, concession, and service order backlogs through maintenance management systems.
- Monitoring fleet performance, maintenance delivery, and operational KPIs.
- Optimizing depot utilization, fleet diagramming, and monthly mileage balancing.
- Supporting the delivery of contractual obligations while minimizing service disruptions.
- Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborating with maintenance teams, yard operations, and stakeholders to achieve operational goals.
- Identifying process improvements, cost efficiencies, and operational risks.
All about you
- Experience in planning within a maintenance, rail, transport, manufacturing, or asset-intensive environment.
- Sound understanding of maintenance planning principles and asset management practices.
- Experience using maintenance management systems such as SAP, Maximo, or similar.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
